SAP AI Animated Explainer

Making enterprise AI feel real—not theoretical

The challenge

Enterprise AI is powerful—but hard to explain.

SAP sits at the center of some of the world’s most complex business systems, embedding AI across finance, HR, supply chain, and more.

But communicating that value is difficult:

  • The technology is abstract

  • The use cases are complex and varied

  • The audience spans both technical and business decision-makers

The result: AI felt like a promise—not something tangible or actionable.

The insight

AI doesn’t create value on its own.
It creates value when it’s embedded into real business processes.

So the story shouldn’t be about the technology.
It should be about what actually changes for the business.

The idea

Shift from explaining AI to showing it in action.

We created a storytelling approach that translates SAP’s AI capabilities into clear, visual, business-driven narratives—grounded in real workflows and real outcomes.

Not “what AI is.”
But what AI does inside a company.

The approach

1. Anchor in real business scenarios
We focused on how AI shows up in everyday operations—finance, HR, supply chain—making abstract capabilities feel concrete and relevant.

2. Simplify without diluting
Enterprise AI is inherently complex, but the experience needed to feel intuitive. We reduced technical language and elevated clarity without losing credibility.

3. Build a visual storytelling system
A motion-led, design-forward approach translated invisible processes—data, automation, decisioning—into something users could see and understand.

4. Align across Microsoft + SAP ecosystem
Given the partnership between SAP and Microsoft to bring AI into enterprise workflows, the storytelling needed to reflect a unified, integrated vision.

The experience

A content and motion system that:

  • Visualizes how AI integrates into core business processes

  • Connects data, decisions, and outcomes into a single narrative

  • Balances technical depth with executive-level clarity

  • Makes enterprise transformation feel understandable—and achievable

The result is a story that moves AI from concept to application.

My role

Creative Director

  • Defined the narrative and storytelling approach

  • Led concept development and visual direction

  • Guided cross-functional teams across design, motion, and content

  • Ensured alignment across stakeholders and partner ecosystems

  • Shaped how complex AI capabilities were translated into clear, compelling stories

The impact

  • Transformed abstract AI capabilities into tangible business value

  • Improved accessibility for both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Strengthened SAP’s positioning as a leader in enterprise AI

  • Created a scalable storytelling system for future AI communications

The Takeaway

AI isn’t the story.

What it changes is.

This project wasn’t about explaining technology.

It was about making transformation feel real—and possible.
